Pets, pets, pets! They're in weddings everywhere. Some are dogs, some cats, some birds, and almost anything else you can think of! These Boston Terriers in Justin and Mary's wedding are the stars of these wedding photos! Remember the saying about never working with animals or kids? This photo shows you why!

Black and white weddings are all the rage. These photos show just a portion of the items made just for weddings with a black and white theme. Brides choose either to go pure black and white or add some reds or bright colors to their flowers or linens.
This ring bearer's pillow carries through the black and white theme.
Mugs and guest books are some more options for the black and white bride. Find all these items at Perfectly Presented or other similar web sites.

Usually black and white weddings are very formal...very tuxedo...formal gown. But these skeleton xray pumps are for the bride looking for a little bit of fun in her wedding shoes. Perfect the bride/groom who work in medicine or radiology. Or the bride having a Halloween or Dia de Los Muertos wedding. Best of all, there are shoes for the groom that MATCH! OH YEAH! I do love it when a plan comes together. Blood spatter shoes are also available--perfect for the ER doc or nurse.

Love these funky black Louboutin's with eyeballs all over them, but not sure I'd want to spend the thousands of dollars they cost. But if you go to Do It Yourself Wedding Planning, they tell you just how to make your own version of this fun footwear. Most black and white weddings are very formal and tuxedo-ish. The addition of these babies will wow your guests and give you something to giggle about if there is a stressful moment or two on your wedding day.
Sure weddings are serious business, but every wedding day should have some whimsy. So for a wedding with whimsy-walk down the aisle in fake Louboutin's even if you can't afford the real thing. And who cares if your great aunt is rolling her eyes at you...your 'eyes' will be rolling right back!

Having a black and white wedding? Try these great paper lanterns with a difference! Hang them from trees, or inside your tent they'll make a statement. Or try the black lanterns on your tabletops (below) in place of centerpieces on your tables. Both are from Save on Crafts' web site where there are a lot more great ideas for your wedding day.

I've always been in love with cameos so when I saw this tablescape on Martha Stewart's site I had to share it with you. Martha and her staff are their usual creative selves and give you a total look for less by adding DIY elements. Martha Stewart Weddings how to design in pink, black and white features a cameo. For additional directions check out her site (linked above). Note how she adds some black stitching to the edge of the linen napkin for accent and edges her place cards with black. The favor box sits in the center of white china with a black and white trim, it has a beautiful cameo look added to the top of the favor box. The link for where Martha got the cameo pieces to make the favor boxes in on her site as well. Overall a designer look with a do it yourself price tag.

Martha Stewart offers this pleated black handle bouquet made with inexpensive but deluxe white carnations. If you look carefully at this bouquet you'll also see some handmade white ribbon flowers added to the mix--a beautiful way to add another texture to the bouquet.

This double-decker angel food cupcake with it's boutique cupcake paper is perfect for a wedding. It looks just like an asymmetrical wedding cake! This cupcake was an entry in a contest and was created by The Insomniac Baker. The recipe is on the Baker's web page linked previously. Photos also courtesy of The Insomniac Baker.
Try out this combination of angel food cake and meringue with gelato! Two fluffy angel food cupcakes with meringue gelato in the middle and a smooth, Swiss meringue buttercream on top, with a sweet little meringue cookie to top it all off--perfection! These are an ice cream cupcake though so your caterer will need to assemble them on site and they won't work for a sweet table. You could probably adapt the recipe to use something other than the gelato if you wanted to use them for a sweet table display.

This wedding with black and white accents (actually a Halloween wedding) is a perfect example of using black and white for your wedding colors and making it work! Whether it's the striped sash or the table accents or the grooms tie the addition of black to the white is just enough, without being too much.
The groom's bow tie is featured on Erin's Heart Court blog along with other photos.
Look for the fabric for the runner from IKEA! Style doesn't have to be expensive!
